MINNEAPOLIS - Edina senior swimmer Nikki Larson saved her best for last.
Larson was a four-event winner at the Girls' Class 2A State Swimming and Diving meet Saturday night at the University of Minnesota Aquatic Center. She won the 200-freestyle with a time of 1:49.20. It was her first ever state individual title and the start of a big night.
Larson also won the 100-yard butterfly and anchored two winning Edina relays, including the 200 free relay - an event the Hornets set a new all-time state record in with their time of 1:34.40.
Nikki has always been about team so to win those two relay races with her teammates was most important.
Edina won the state team championship and Nikki was a big reason why. She will swim for Princeton next year.
