EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. -- On Saturday, Mackenzie Dent recorded her best all-around score this season at the Park Invitational.
Dent scored a 38.5 in the competition. She's regarded as the state's best gymnast who incorporates full difficulty in every event.
Her work ethic is second-to-none and her pain tolerance is amazing. She is competing through injuries, yet posting the state's best scores.
Mackenzie was a club gymnast until two years ago. After this season, she will retire from the sport. That is what's driving her to succeed because she realizes this year is her last.
