Celia Kuenster - Cretin-Derham Hall

COON RAPIDS, Minn. - Celia Kuenster may only be a sophomore but on the course, she plays like a professional.

After sharing the state title last year as a freshman, the Cretin-Derham Hall star wanted more in 2012.

Kuenster's first day score of 72 was good enough to put her in second place, but she was still three shots off the lead. However, she had a little magic left in her bag.

She birdied three of her final four holes on day two of the tournament to finish her second round at 4-under par, enough to give her a Class 3A record of 141 and her second straight state title.

Kuenster's 36-hole score was the lowest in any class at a girls' state golf tournament since 2006. When asked if she could win the state title two more times, she said, "I hope so."
