MINNEAPOLIS - If not for a rolled ankle, Hutchinson running back Robbie Grimsley would have had a shot at breaking the Prep Bowl rushing record.
Grimsley carried the ball six times for 261 yards and three touchdowns to help lead the Tigers to a 49-7 win over the Academy of Holy Angels last Friday. It was the Tigers second consecutive Class 4A state championship.
Grimsley set a Prep Bowl record with a 92-yard touchdown run. The junior also scored on runs of 76 yards and 57 yards, all in the first quarter. The running back injured his ankle, missing most of the third quarter before returning on offense.
