MINNEAPOLIS - It's not just the All-Star players who were being hailed in Minneapolis on Tuesday.
Dozens of teachers from across the country also got some special recognition.
Second Lady Dr. Jill Biden made the trip to the All-Star festivities. She was in town honoring 30 winners of People Magazine's All-Star Teachers campaign.
The group even got to take part in the All-Star Parade.
Biden says it's important to highlight what our teachers do because it just might inspire the next generation.
"I think we need to have more people going into teaching," she said. "I don't think teachers get enough recognition and they do some pretty wonderful things."
A high school teacher from Shakopee, Neil Johnson, is among the teachers being honored as All-Stars.
Johnson is an avid sports fan who students describe as "the best teacher they've ever had."
