MINNEAPOLIS - Ra'Shede Hageman was chosen by the Atlanta Falcons with the No. 37 pick in the second round of the 2014 draft.
Hageman would have been the first Minnesota player picked in the first round of the NFL draft in eight years, but he slid into day 2.
Hageman measured at 6-foot-6 and 310 pounds at the combine. He has a lot of room left in his development, but his speed and athleticism for his size have helped set him apart among the prospects at his position.
Critics say he needs to play more consistently as the makes the jump to the pros, but those same critics say he has all the potential in the world.
Hageman will offer versatility to the Falcons defensive front. The Falcons had the second-worst run defense in the NFL last season.
