MILWAUKEE - Retired NFL quarterback Brett Favre says it's unfortunate the way things ended in Green Bay, but that he's proud of his 16 years with the Packers and that his fans know he played as hard as he could.
Favre was interviewed on WTMJ-AM Friday and talked about his departure from Green Bay six years ago and the recent efforts to mend the bad break from the Packers. Favre will be inducted into the Packers Hall of Fame and have his number retired next season. After changing his mind about leaving football in 2008, Favre was traded to the New York Jet and went on to play in Minnesota.
Favre says he has returned to Wisconsin since leaving Green Bay. Favre says he came back to hunt with two friends in Clintonville about two years ago and that no one recognized him.
