Super Bowl champs make unexpected stop at MSP

MINNEAPOLIS – The NFL's Super Bowl Champions made a brief stop in Minnesota on their way back home to Seattle on Monday.

The Seattle Seahawks charter flight was provided by Delta.

Officials told KARE 11 that the plane needed to make a stop in Minneapolis to pick up additional fuel due to headwinds and to swap out its flight crew due to weather delays on the east coast.

The Seahawks arrived at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport at about 4 p.m.
