Wild's Zac Parise and his wife welcome twins

ST. PAUL, Minn. - Wild winger Zach Parise has plenty of excitement in his life, with his team battling for a playoff spot and preparing to skate in the upcoming Sochi Olympics.

Add two more reasons for him to be pumped.

The Wild announced via Twitter that Zach and his wife Alisha are the proud parents of twins. The fraternal pair are named Jaxson and Emelia. No word on exactly when the twins arrived, or where they were born.

Mr. Parise will now be using his golden hands to do something other than pass, shoot and score.

Last year Twins catcher Joe Mauer and his wife, Maddie, welcomed girls Emily and Maren.

Mauer and Parise both grew up in the Twin Cities area: Mauer in St. Paul and Parise in Bloomington.

Mauer had to rush home from a road trip to be with his wife when she went into labor last July, but Parise didn't have to worry about that. The left wing is out with a foot injury.
