MINNEAPOLIS - The lack of snow and sub-zero temperatures could be exciting Minnesota Twins fans.

The team announced Monday single-game tickets for Twins games will go on sale Saturday, Feb. 25.

Tickets can be purchased online at twinsbaseball.com, by calling (612) 33-TWINS or (800) 33-TWINS, or at the Target Field ticket office. Tickets go on sale at Twins Pro Shop stores staring Monday, Feb. 27.

The Twins standard variable pricing structure will apply to all single-game tickets sold February 25-March 8. Beginning March 9, the Twins will apply demand-based pricing to all seating sections of Target Field. Demand-based pricing, which prices tickets according to fan demand, is a practice that is becoming standard across sports and entertainment industries. The system, which was implemented within two seating categories at Target Field in 2011, applies only to single-game ticket sales and does not affect season ticket pricing.

The Twins home opener at Target Field is Monday, April 9, against the Los Angeles of Anaheim.

In 2011, the Twins drew 3,168,107 fans, the second highest attendance total in franchise history. The Twins set the club record with 3,223,640 fans in 2010, the first season at Target Field.

Spring Training tickets go on sale Saturday, Jan. 14. The Twins first game in Fort Myers, Fla., is Saturday, March 3, against the Tampa Bay Rays.
