MANKATO, Minn. - Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson has resumed his rehabilitation after a scary allergic reaction that sent him to the hospital.
Peterson picked right up where he left off in his recovery work on his surgically repaired left knee Tuesday, the day after eating jambalaya caused shortness of breath and his face to swell. Peterson had hot dogs for lunch this time.
He's concerned shrimp in the jambalaya caused his reaction. He says he's eaten seafood "all the time" without prior problems. He's waiting for blood tests to determine the source of the allergy.
Also Tuesday, tight end John Carlson sprained the medial collateral ligament in his knee and will miss a few weeks of practice. Head coach Leslie Frazier said the team doesn't believe the ligament is torn.
