MINNEAPOLIS - The Minnesota Lynx will wear a red, No. 11 patch on the shoulder of their jerseys to honor the life of Jacob Wetterling.
The red No. 11, which represents the number Wetterling used to wear for sports and the color of his soccer team, will be worn by the team on Saturday, Sept. 17 and then at all games throughout the semifinals round of the 2016 WNBA Playoffs.
The patch is also in support of the #11forJacob campaign -- a list of 11 character traits the Jacob Wetterling Resource Center hopes everyone can try to live by, as modeled by Jacob.
On Saturday, the Lynx will have a moment of silence for Jacob and the Wetterling family.
