GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. -- Abigail Harrison, aka "Astronaut Abby" joins KARE Saturday to talk about her new pilot series Magic Makers.

Abby has been inspiring others with her goal to be the first person to Mars since starting an 8th grade science project about the International Space Station that led her to contacts at NASA and eventually to be the Earth-base liaison for Luca Parmitano aboard the ISS.

Last fall she was a speaker at TED X, and now she's set to star in a pilot series alongside other brilliant teens called Magic Makers that will highlight the amazing things her and her fellow geniuses are dreaming up and making a reality.

The show is also set to feature other impressive youths, including:

· Jack Andraka: Intel's 2012 Gordone E. Moore Award-winning scientist, who invented and inexpensive and dipstick-like sensor for the rapid and early detection of pancreatic, ovarian, and lung cancers.

· Nikita Rau: A Girls Who Code member, who started XX Hackers at her New York high school to bridge the gender gap in the computer science fields.

· Easton LaChapelle: A self-taught teen, who created a 3D printed, mind-controlled robotic arm that recently shook hands with President Obama.

· Plus five other impressive young minds working in science, activism, humanitarian efforts, farming, and computing.
