MINNEAPOLIS – The Tony award-winning musical Peter and the Starcatcher makes its Twin Cities premiere at the Orpheum Theatre in Minneapolis March 11-16.

The play is a prequel to Peter Pan and is based on the best-selling novel by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson. The story delves into the backstory of Peter Pan and how he never grew up and how he met Captain Hook.

Peter and the Starcatcher won five 2012 Tony Awards. The play is suitable for all ages, but best for ages 10 and up.

As part of Hennepin Theatre Trust's Made Here Cultural District window display a new artwork has been created at the Witt Mitchell Building at 705 Hennepin Avenue. Local artists Tim Carroll, Daisy Lysne, Ursula Simmer and FAIR Downtown School student Calvin Haferman have created a 3D sculpture using recycled materials. The work was inspired by the musical Peter and the Starcatcher.
