Comic Con - Minneapolis

The wildly popular Comic Con convention is known to draw thousands out in New York and San Diego. Now Minnesota will play host to the event at the Minneapolis Convention Center as part of Wizard World's national Comic Con tour. Stars, vendors artists and more will set and up and make visits throughout the weekend. Festival of Nations

With the theme of peace among the people, Minnesota's longest running multicultural festival will take place at St. Paul's RiverCentre. The four day Festival of Nations is your passport to ethnic foods, music, demonstrations, exhibits and dance from countries around the world. Stars on Ice

A new photography exhibit is open at the Minnesota History Center by Charles Chamblis which captures life in North Minneapolis in the 60s, 70s and 80s. "Sights, Sounds and Soul" shows everything from family reunions to the vibrant disco scene. …. Chamblis captured life in North Minneapolis in the 60s, 70s, and 80s– shooting everything from family reunions to the nightclub disco scene. Sonny Knight & the Lakers album release party

One of the must-see shows of the year is taking place Saturday at First Avenue when Sonny Knight & the Lakers debut their first album, "I'm Still Here." After six months of working together on shows promoting Twin Cities Funk & Soul, Sonny and Secret Stash Records founder and "in-house funky drummer" Eric Foss formed Sonny Knight & The Lakers.
