MINNEAPOLIS--The St. Anthony Brass Quintet is inviting the community to join them at their send off concert as they prepare to represent Minnesota and the United States at the Harbin (Har-bin), China Summer Music Festival. The send off concert is Saturday, August 2 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Stillwater, Minn. starting at 2:00 p.m.
The send off concert is free to the public, but donations to support the group and their trip to China will be accepted. Donations to the trip can also be made online via the quintet's kickstarter page.
The St. Anthony Brass Quintet has been performing for audiences throughout Minnesota since 1993 and is committed to bringing educational concerts to schools.The project to send the St. Anthony Brass Quintet to China is being organized by the US China Peoples Friendship Association.
The Harbin summer music festival is held every two years in China and features artists from all over the world. This once in a lifetime opportunity will build new ties between the City of Minneapolis and its sister city of Harbin, China.
