Brad Pitt has promised a world of hurt to

if he continues his red-carpet prankster ways -- such as hiding under America Ferrera's dress on the red carpet of the Cannes Film Festival.

"He should know, if he tries to look up a woman's dress again, he's going to be stomped," Pitt said in his first comments following his bizarre interaction with Sediuk last week.

Sediuk has been a growing menace on international red carpets. The recent streak started with the May 16 attack on Ferrera in the South of France. At Wednesday's Hollywood premiere for Maleficent, Sediuk jumped over a police barrier and approached Pitt, who was signing autographs for fans on the carpet.

"I was at the end of the line signing autographs, when out of the corner of my eye I saw someone stage-diving over the barrier at me," Pitt said in a detailed statement to People magazine. "I took a step back; this guy had latched onto my lapels. I looked down and the nutter was trying to bury his face in my crotch."

Facing the odd situation, Pitt said he "cracked him twice in the back of the head -- not too hard -- but enough to get his attention, because he did let go. I think he was then just grabbing for a hand hold because (security was) on him, and (Sediuk) reached up and caught my glasses."

As Pitt continued signing autographs, Sediuk was dragged away by security and then police.

"I don't mind an exhibitionist," Pitt continued. "But if this guy keeps it up he's going to spoil it for the fans who have waited up all night for an autograph or a selfie, because it will make people more wary to approach a crowd."

Sediuk told the AP that he was merely trying to hug Pitt. After pleading no contest to battery and unlawful activity at a sporting or entertainment event, he was sentenced to three years of probation and a year's worth of psychiatric counseling. Sediuk was also ordered to stay away from Pitt and his partner, Angelina Jolie.
