GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. - 36,000 runners will take part in the 2014 Boston Marathon. So what does it take to train for marathon running?

Fitness expert Chris Freytag visited KARE 11 Sunrise with some training tips.

She says coolrunning.com is a great website for training for 5K, 10K, half and full marathons.

There is also now an app: Couch to 5K, with a running schedule for two months working out three days a week.

There is a race every weekend in the Twin Cities from now until October.
