CHANHASSEN, Minn. - A $3 fee gets you a ticket straight to summer at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum. The exhibit takes you up close and personal to up to 1,000 native Minnesota butterflies.

Right now there are monarchs, swallowtails, painted ladies, luna moths and more but the selection changes every couple of weeks as new varieties hatch.

Guides and maps help you spot and identify the butterflies by species and you can get great tips on what plants will bring the butterflies to your garden!

In a previous interview with the University of Minensota's Katie-Lyn Bunney, Laura collected a list of native Minnesota plants that attract buttterflies throughout the season. See it here: Native MN butterfly blooms
