ARNOLD, Neb. - It's notuncommon this time of yearto look out the window of your car and spot a deer standing on the side of the road.
Now two deer stuck together? A bit more unusual.
A motorist near Arnold, Nebraska spotted two white-tailed bucks with antlers tangled in a cornfield while driving the other day, and quickly called the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission.
A wildlife biologist surveyed the situation and decided the animals would be unable to seperate themselves without human help, and would likely die.
Wildlife specialistshad to carefully approach the bucks, and find the right time to rope and subdue them.
After an hour of struggling with the wild animals they were able to saw off one of the buck's antlers.
One buck immediately ran into the hills.
The other one needed a brief rest, but both survived the four hour ordeal.
