MINNEAPOLIS -- Many foods and drinks have been considered aphrodisiacs. The name comes from the Greek goddess of love and sexuality Aphrodite.

On Wednesday, April 25, Chino Latino will be dishing up a five course meal, along with specialty drinks. The cost is $60 a person and includes food, drink and a great dining experience.

Avocado Soup with Conch Salad and Chiles
Ingredients: (for the soup)
2 Ripe Avocados, peeled, seeded and Diced
1 Clove Garlic, Minced
3C Chicken or Vegetable Stock
1T Lime Juice
1T Sour Cream
1t. Yucateco Hot Sauce
Combine Avocado, Garlic, half the stock, Lime Juice, Sour Cream and Salt in a blender. Puree.
Mix in the remaining stock and Hot Pepper Sauce, Chill for at least 1 hour.
Ingredients: (for the conch)
1C Orange Juice
1C Lime Juice
1/4C Soy Sauce
1/4C Lime Juice
1/2 a small red onion
1/4 Cucumber, finely diced
1 Tomato, Finely Diced
1/2 Stalk Celery, Finely Diced
1/4 Habanero Pepper, Seeded and Minced
Salt to taste
1T Chopped Parsley
Place the Conch, Orange Juice, Lime Juice, Water, Soy Sauce and Thyme in a Dutch oven and place in the oven on 350 degrees. Cook for approx. 2 hours, remove from the oven and allow conch to cool in the liquid. Once cool, remove from the juice and and slice thinly. Combine with the rest of the ingredients minus the parsley and allow to marinate for 25-30 minutes. Place about 3 ounces of the soup in a shallow bowl, Place a scoop of salad in the middle of the bowl and drizzle with Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
