GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn.-- Grills across the country will be firing up this 4th of July, and if you're looking for a twist on barbecue, look no further that Joan's In The Park.

Chef Susan Dunlop dropped by our KARE 11 Backyard today to show us how to make one of their signature dishes, a coca cola pork chop.

Black BBQ Sauce

3 cups Coke
½ cup White onion diced
1 ¼ cup Ketchup
1 ½ tbl Red wine vinegar
2 tsp Dijon mustard
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp Smoked paprika
3 tbl Molasses
½ cup Brown Sugar
¼ tsp Chinese 5 spice
2 tsp Salt
1 ea Vanilla bean split
2 tblBitter Sweet Chocolate

1. Add the coke to a sauté pan and cook on med high heat, reduce to a ½ cup.
2. Add reduced coke and remaining ingredients except the chocolate to a med sauce pan and bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer until thickened, about 10 minutes.
3. Stain sauce through a fine mesh strainer and stir in chocolate.
4. Adjust seasonings to taste.
