ST. PAUL, Minn. - A former high profile CEO is the new owner of the Minnesota Stars.

William McGuire, formerly the head of UnitedHealth,bought the professional soccer franchise from the North American Soccer League for an undisclosed price.

Head coach Manny Lagos says there are great challenges ahead for soccer, both as a business and on the field.

The Minnesota Vikings have the rights to bring major league soccer to Minneapolis when the new stadium is built. Minnesota Public Radio News says it's not clear whether the market can support two teams.
