ST. PAUL, Minn. -- A big honor Sunday for Jack Jablonski, the Benilde-St. Margaret's hockey player who was paralyzed when he was checked from behind during a game.

Jabs was picked as the 2012 America's Choice Honoree for the annual Courage in Sports event.

His teammates and other supporters gathered to celebrate the award at Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul.

Jabs says it's nice to be recognized but he's more focused on letting people know about the process of recovering from a sports injury.
