MINNEAPOLIS - If you are a veteran who needs housing, Twin Cities Habitat for Humanitywants to hear from you. State officials have recognized Habitat for Humanity as the newest Yellow Ribbon Company for its work with war veterans. And right now, Habitat for Humanity wants to get the word out about a new initiative to help more local vets find affordable housing.
Part of that initiative included keeping track of how many veterans volunteer for habitat. As part of the initiative to get veterans into habitat homes, habitat is allowing veterans who have owned a home in the past.
If you want to help veterans and Habitat for Humanity, you can be part of their fundraising efforts this Thursday - on "Give to the Max Day."
