GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn.-Thousands of jolly runners will turn out this Saturday, December 1stfor the 25th Anniversary of the Xperience Fitness Reindeer run.

It's also a mile-marker for Marine Corp Reserve'sToys for Tots program as they have partnered with them for 25 years as well.

Marilyn Franzen, race director, stopped by the KARE 11 News @4 backyard to tell how runners and non-runnerscan both help Toys for Tots.

"We encourage participants, volunteers and spectators to bring a new, non-gift wrapped toy to the race for a local child in need," says Franzen.

You can still sign up for the run today onlineatReindeer Runor on race day at Lake Harriet in SW Minneapolis.

The race start is locatedby the band shell on the NW side of the lake or you canfind them at4135 W. Lake Harriet Pkwy, Minneapolis, MN.

Come early! There is a costume contest at 8:30 a.m. with fun prizes to the top 10 costumes! (Wearing a costume is NOT required to run or walk the event.

There's a 5K Run (9:30 a.m. start), a Kids ½ Mile (9:10 a.m. start), and a 5K Walk (9:40 a.m. start).

Also, a Marine Corp squad will run the race, in formation, if you needed another reason to take part.
