Cedar Falls, IA (Sports Network) - Jake Koch scored 17 points for the Northern Iowa Panthers as they defeated the Northern Colorado Bears, 76-59, in non- conference play at the McLeod Center.

Koch was 6-of-8 from the field for the Panthers (5-3) as the team registered a season-high 21 assists en route to their 10th straight victory at the McCleod Center. Seth Tuttle added 14 points, five rebounds, and four assists while Marc Sonnen tallied 12 points and four assists. Anthony James led the Panthers with six assists.

Tevin Svihovec scored 16 points in the fifth straight loss for the Bears (1-5) who have gone winless since their season-opening victory over the University of the Southwest. Paul Garnica scored 15 points off the bench while Tate Unruh added 14 points.

After knocking down eight three-pointers in the first half, UNI led 40-29 at the break.

The Panthers shot 59.1 percent from the field in the second half and outscored UNC 36-30 to pull away with the convincing win.

UNI beat the Bears on the glass by a 35-25 margin which helped the squad to overcome 15 turnovers.
