EDINA, Minn. - Procrastination might just pay off this season.
"The trend in retail is longer hours and more sales," says Allison Kaplan, style and shopping editor for Minneapolis/St. Paul Magazine.
Prices typically reserved for Black Friday are now popping up well into December.
It was commonplace to see signs at Southdale Mall in Edina on Friday with discounts of 50, 60 and even 70 percent off.
"With toys, electronics and giftables were seeing prices as good if not better than Black Friday," says Kaplan.
An estimated 132 million people say they have more shopping to do.
"It used to be the day after Christmas was the day for bargain-hunting," says Kaplan. "I think it will be this weekend."
Toys-R-Us is opening its stores for 88 straight hours until Christmas Eve. Macy's will be open 48 straight hours.
