MINNEAPOLIS - The Minneapolis Police Department is investigating an overnight stabbing that left one man dead and another injured.
Officers in the fourth precinct received a call at 3:25 a.m. Sunday morning about a disturbance at a home in the 2900 block of Russell Avenue North.
While en route, officers were informed that a man inside the home had been stabbed. When they arrived, they found an unresponsive adult male.
Another man from the scene was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment, and officers questioned witnesses. There is currently no one in custody for the fatal stabbing, but police say the initial investigation indicates there is no public safety risk.
The Minneapolis Police Department's Homicide Unit is now investigating the incident. Anyone with information is asked to call the tip line at 612-692-TIPS (8477).
