Lawrence, KS (Sports Network) - Kevin Young poured in a team-high 16 points and pulled down 10 rebounds as the sixth-ranked Kansas Jayhawks fended off a pesky Temple side, 69-62, on Sunday at Allen Fieldhouse.
Travis Releford netted 14 points and freshman standout Ben McLemore added 13 points and six rebounds for the Jayhawks (12-1), who have won 11 in a row following a loss to Michigan State back in November.
Elijah Johnson posted nine points and nine assists, and Jeff Withey donated eight points to go with 11 rebounds and nine blocks in the triumph.
Khalif Wyatt scored a game-high 26 points and added six rebounds for Temple (10-3), which was going for its second win over a top-10 team this season, having beaten then-No. 3 Syracuse on December 22.
Anthony Lee and Will Cummings donated 11 points apiece for the Owls in the loss.
