ST. LOUIS PARK, Minn. - Seniors at Benilde-St. Margaret High School received a very special history lesson on Monday.

World War II veteran Herb Seurth shared his story with the students.

He was a member of the company upon which the Band of Brothers series was based. Herb joined the company right before his division went to fight in the Battle of the Bulge.

One of the more unique stories he told was his experiences with parachute training.

"You come out of the plane at 100 to 110 miles per hour and your shoot opens and it tries to stop you in the middle of the air," Seurth described. "Your arms go flying and sometimes your equipment gets ripped off and then you settle down and it's beautiful. Absolutely beautiful."
