MINNEAPOLIS - A man is dead after a shooting inside an apartment in south Minneapolis early Monday.
Squads were called toan apartment building in the 2800 block of Cedar Avenue South just before 4:30 a.m. on reports of a shooting. When they arrived officers found an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound.
First responders transported the victim to Hennepin County Medical Center (HCMC) where he died a short time later.
Police say there is no one in custody at this point and investigators from the Minneapolis Police Department's Homicide Unit are asking that if anyone has any information about this case that they call the TIPS Line at 612-642-TIPS (6477).
The identity of the victim will be released by the Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office after an autopsy is completed.
