WHITE BEAR LAKE, Minn. - Authorities are asking for help from the public in locating an autistic teenager who is listed as missing.
White Bear Lake police are attempting to locate 18-year-old Kyle Christopher Konkler, who left work at the White Bear Lake Police Department in the early afternoon of Thursday, April 4th and did not return home.
Kyle is described as a high-functioning man on the autism spectrum and authorities are concerned that he may get himself into potentially dangerous situations.
Police think Kyle may falsely believe that he is in trouble for not returning to his home, but authorities and his family are only concerned with his safe return. The teen does not have any money, his cell phone, and is not dressed appropriately for the changing weather conditions.
Konkler is described as a smooth talker who may try to convince strangers for help. He knows few people in the area, is poor with directions and likely won't know how to get around.
When last seen Kyle Konkler was wearing blue jeans, a navy blue t-shirt with a White Bear Lake Fire and Police Supporters logo. He is described as being 6 feet tall, 215 pounds with brown hair and hazel eyes.
Anyone who has seen Kyle or knows of his whereabouts is asked to call White Bear Lake Police at 651-429-8511.
