MINNEAPOLIS -- The Minnesota Twins aren't letting this miserable spring weather get in the way of the team's weekend series against the New York Mets.

The first game of the series is being played as scheduled Friday night at 7 p.m. The game time temperature is expected to be around 34 degrees with flurries possible.

Due to the cold, baseball fans will be able to warm up with a free cup of coffee or hot cocoa. The Twins announced Friday afternoon that they will be giving away the free drinks at the gates.

Grounds crews spent the day working hard to get Target Field in shape for the weekend series.
