MINNEAPOLIS - Join Minnesota Twins legends on May 18, 2013 for the 6:10 p.m. game against the Boston Red Sox and support the public launch of the Harmon Killebrew Hospice Home for Kids Fund.
The fund will be managed by Children's Lighthouse of Minnesota, a nonprofit dedicated to building an independent home to provide short respite breaks and compassionate hospice care for children with life expectancy conditions and their families.
The organization is working to raise $10 million to build the home, which will be located in a suburb of the Twin Cities for convenient access to care for families.

"Harmon was very passionate about the hospice movement and he understood the vital role it plays for families and patients," said Nita Killebrew. "The Midwest desperately needs a hospice and respite home specifically for children and their families. With an estimated 7-9,000 children living with life expectancy conditions in Minnesota, there are a many families we can reach."
