Chicago, IL (Sports Network) - Luis Valbuena hit a go-ahead two-run double in the eighth inning and finished the game with three RBI to help the Chicago Cubs take an 8-2 win over the Chicago White Sox on Monday.
Alfonso Soriano went 3-for-4 with a solo home run and four runs scored, Cody Ransom drove in a pair, and Dave Sappelt was 4-for-5 with two RBI and a run scored for the Cubs, who have won three straight.
Matt Garza (5-1) gave up two runs -- one earned -- on five hits with no walks and six strikeouts over seven innings to win his fourth straight decision.
Josh Phegley hit a solo home run while Gordon Beckham scored a run for the White Sox, who have dropped their past four games. Hector Santiago gave up two runs on five hits over 5 1/3 innings, but didn't factor into the decision.
