ST. LOUIS PARK, Minn. -- Hundreds of young boys from across the metro got a chance to audition for a new movie featuring Bradley Cooper and Emma Stone on Tuesday.

Casting agents held an open audition to find the perfect boy between the ages of 8 and 11. The movie will be filmed in Hawaii, but the casting director Debbie DeLisi told KARE 11 that Minnesota has talent that can't be found anywhere else.

"There's so many smart kids in Minneapolis. I mean, literally in the Twin Cities, there's so many programs for gifted kids and I feel like there's a lot of real kids," she said.

Callbacks will begin Thursday. DeLisi said they may hold auditions in New York but hope they find their star here.
