GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. - Two Twin Cities residents are speaking out about theimpact the historic March on Washington and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s landmark "I have a dream" speech had on their lives.
Dr. King delivered the famous speech on August 28, 1963 as thousands marched on our nation's capitol for civil rights.
Director of the Office for Diversity & Graduate Education, Dr. Patricia Whyte, was in Washington on that day in 1963.
