FALCON HEIGHTS, MN-- Marvel at four super-sized agriculture-themed sculptures constructed entirely from thousands of cans of food. It's all part of the new "Canstruction" exhibit at the 2013 Minnesota State Fair.
Created by teams of architects, designers, engineers and contractors, the designs were originally part of "Canstruction" competitions and events, which are held internationally and raise more than 3.4 million pounds of food donations each year.
Located in the Agriculture Horticulture Building,"Canstruction" is open 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily (8 p.m Labor Day). For more information, click here.
These can-tastic structures will be dismantled post-fair and donated to Second Harvest Heartland.
September is Hunger Action Month, and you can help donate 10,000 hours of volunteer time in September. 10,000 volunteer hours could mean $50,000 for Second HarvestHeartlandand its efforts to end hunger thanks to Bremer Bank's Double Down Challenge, in which Bremer Bank will donate $5 to SHH for every hour donated during September, up to 10,000 hours/$50,000.
