EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. - The Minnesota State Patrol has changed its version of events that led to a fatal crashon Highway 212 in Eden Prairie Friday morning.
One person was killed in the crash, which took place near theramp from Eden Prairie Road.
Originally the patrol reported that a westbound Jeep driven by a 26-year-oldman from Eden Prairie crossed the median and struck aChevy Malibu headed eastbound. The driver of that vehicle, a 62-year old Eden Prairie man, was killed in the crash.
The other driversuffered serious injuries.
On Monday, State Patrolspokesman Lt. Eric Roeske tweeted that investigators had changed their findings. He wrote:
#MSPfatal New info on Friday's 212 crash posted on MSP media site, Malibu crossed into oncoming traffic, not jeep.
The bottom line is that traffic reconstructionists now say that the 62-year-old driver was actually the one responsible for crossing the median and causing the crash.
