MINNEAPOLIS - It was quite a weekend for the Edina girls' tennis team as the Hornets won their 17th consecutive state title in Class 2A.

A big reason for that success comes from junior Caitlyn Merzbacher, who plays number one for the Edina team. Merzbacher helped keep the Hornets impressive streak alive as Edina defeated Minnetonka 5-2 in the finals. Merzbacher also took home the singles championship after beating defending-champion Summer Brills of Mounds View.
