GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. - New clinical guidelinesout this week are marking the biggest shift in cardiovascular-disease prevention in nearly three decades.

Rather than focusing on cholesterol levels alone, doctors are now being urged to also consider "risk factors" for high cholesterol and heart disease. And that means twice as many Americansmight find themselves with a prescription for statin drugs.
