GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. - The nation marks the 50th Anniversary of the John F. Kennedy assassination on Friday, November 22, 2013.

President Obama has ordered that flags be lowered at government buildings today to mark the anniversary.

In Dallas, thousands of people will gather at a solemn ceremony in Dealey Plaza, where Kennedy was shot while riding in his motorcade.

The matter of who shot the JFK continues to be the center of heated debates.

Was it just Lee Harvey Oswald, or were there others involved as well.

U.S. District Judge John Tunheim is the chair of the U-S Assassination Records Review Board, which allowed the release of several documents in the investigation.

Judge Tunheim joined KARE 11 Sunrise on the anniversary to talk about being on the board.
