ST. CLOUD, Minn. -- A portion of I-94 is open again following a deadly crash near St. Cloud.
A stretch from Minnesota Highway 15 to westbound I-94 was closed Monday after a crash involving multiple vehicles killed at least one person.
The crash was reported near Minnesota Highway 23 at about 3 p.m. Several ambulances were on the scene. One person has died, according to Sgt. Jesse Grabow with Minnesota State Patrol.
The crash happened as a snowstorm was moving through the St. Cloud area. Law enforcement from several agencies were responding to numerous reports of crashes Monday afternoon.
Stearns County handled at least 11 crashes or vehicles in the ditch countywide as of 3:45 p.m., said Chief Deputy Bruce Bechtold. The county called some deputies in early because of the high volume of crashes, he said.
