Pat Evans joined the KARE 11 News team in 1994 and has played many roles during his time here. Currently, he co-anchors the KARE 11 News at 11 a.m. and KARE 11 News @ 4 p.m. weekdays on television and online. He also has spent much time in the weather department, and is a valuable part of our weather team.

Pat was recently awarded a Regional Emmy for his "Guthrie On The River" news special. Pat earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of San Francisco. In his free time, Pat loves to walk the lakes of Minneapolis. More importantly, he enjoys being an active community volunteer.

When I was young, I wanted to be: A U.S. Senator.

Favorite story you ever worked on: The next one.

Describe your perfect day: It starts with a nice power walk around one of the lakes. Then, I might stop by the bookstore and pick up a new read. Lunch with my best friend. Curling up on the couch or hammock, if it's summer with my new book. Then, make dinner for friends.

Favorite movie: "Casablanca"

Who's your idol? My Mom and Dad.

Your inspiration: People who are kind and generous of both their material possessions and time to help others.

Favorite subject in school: Geography

Favorite sport to watch: The commercials in between.

Favorite sport to play: Jumping to conclusions.
