Trisha Volpe is a practicing attorney and an Emmy award-winning journalist who brings a unique perspective to covering the news. Trisha first joined KARE 11 in 2005.
As an attorney, the Thunder Bay, Canada native has represented clients in securities, contract, construction and freedom of information litigation among other practice areas.
She returned to KARE in 2013 as an Enterprise Reporter to lead a storytelling partnership with Minnesota Public Radio.
As a reporter, Trisha has covered high profile criminal and civil cases as well as many other stories of both local and national significance. Trisha's work has been recognized several times.
She's won awards for covering breaking news and investigative reporting. She has also presented to national audiences on media issues and effective communications strategies.
Trisha graduated summa cum laude from William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul. She also has a degree in journalism and political science from Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada.
