SAVAGE, Minn. - Savage Police are hoping the public can help identify a crook with even less of a conscience than most of his counterparts.

The manager said the suspect made himself a cup of cappuccino and walked to the counter, where he apparently noticed the donation jar. The suspect grabbed the jar and left.

Surveillance cameras in the store recorded the theft and some decent images of the suspect. He is described as a white male in his mid-40s, about 5 feet,11 inches tall and 200 pounds. He has dark hair with a light colored mustache, possibly gray. At the time of the theft, he was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt with the hood up, a dark baseball cap with an orange or red pattern on the bill, light jeans and white athletic shoes.

The suspect was seen driving away in a Ford Windstar minivan with a factory roof rack and five-spoke, factory alloy wheels. The model year of the van appears to be 2004.

Anyone with information about the theft or the suspect are asked to contact the Savage Police Department at 952-882-2600.
