ST. PAUL, Minn. — More than $10,000 was stolen from the State Fair craft beer exhibit late Friday night.
Two vendors from the beer exhibit were waiting for suppliers when several robbers came into the agriculture-horticulture building, according to Brooke Blakey, a spokesperson for the State Fair police. The robbers showed a weapon, tied up the vendors and took the money before leaving the fairgrounds, she said.
Police have not made any arrests, but Blakey said they are looking into suspects. Thefts have occurred at the fair before but this is the first time an armed robbery has happened.
KARE 11 reached out the Minnesota Craft Brewers Guild, which hosted the exhibit, for comment but did not hear back by deadline.
