ST. LOUIS PARK, Minn. - More than 150 high school science and math students from across the state competed on Friday in the Minnesota Academy of Science's Minnesota State Regional Science Bowl for High School Students.
As a regional event of the U.S, Department of Energy, the winning team will receive an all-expense-paid trip to Washington, D.C., to compete in the DOE National Science Bowl.
Students competed in five-person teams solving technical problems and answering questions in all branches of science and math. The tournament was conducted in a fast-paced question and answer format.
The Science Bowl offers students who excel in math and science an opportunity to participate on a team and build leadership skills in an exciting, competitive format.
