ST. PAUL, Minn. -- A new program is aiming to keep incoming college freshmen on track ahead of their first semester.
The Minnesota Office of Higher Education has launched a program called Summer Nudging, which is designed to offer helpful reminders for students entering college in the fall.
Many of those signing up are first generation students who often don't have family members with college experience who can help them.
Jennifer Fox is in charge of texting nearly 500 students who have signed up.
Her alerts range from checking on financial aid to ensuring students have their high school transcripts.
